Iraqi presidency to publish 2012 budget

ERBIL, April 1 (AKnews) - After the ratification of the budget law, the presidency has sent the budget law to the Ministry of Justice to be published in its official newspaper, announced the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq.
The General Budget Law for 2012 will be published in Alwaqae, Head of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq, Naseer al-Ani, told AKnews.
After which the ministry will launch the budget, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Planning.
Legal expert Tariq Harb said Alwaqae said that the publishing process will take between two to three weeks.
The Iraqi Council of Representatives approved the 2012 budget in February following months of delay due to political disputes.
The total budget is $100.5bn (117tr IQD), with a deficit of $12.6bn (14.7tr IQD).
