Obama announced his commitment to a unified Iraq and support for owners
BAGHDAD / Baghdadiya News / .. President Barack Obama, Thursday, for commitment to a unified, democratic, and his support for Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, his participation in the ongoing dialogue called for by President Jalal Talabani.
A statement issued today by the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, and received / Baghdadiya News / copy of it, "President Barack Obama had, on Thursday evening, a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to congratulate the Iraqi people, the success of the Arab summit which was held in Baghdad last week," he said "President Obama emphasized that the United States is committed to a unified Iraq and democratic society as provided for in the Constitution of Iraq."
Obama expressed "his support for Prime Minister Maliki, his participation in the ongoing dialogue called for by the President of Iraq Jalal Talabani aimed to reconcile Iraqi political blocs in a flexible and transparent."
Obama said on "The continued re-integration of Iraq into the region as a sovereign and independent."
The statement pointed out that the two sides discussed the joint efforts of the United States, and Iraq in support of peace and security in the region in their strategic partnership, also touched on to the political situation in Iraq and a host of other topics of common interest. "
