High market prices threaten the application of new law

Warned the deputies in the parliamentary Economic Committee and experts from the negative effects of the application of customs tariffs on the Iraqi market, Iraqi per capita income.
A member of the Committee of Economy and Investment in the House of Representatives MP Abdul-Hussein Resan told (the citizen) that "the customs tariff system is a universal law can be used in most of the economies of the world, but based on the open market system"

Adding that "the ordinary citizen will suffer from the application of this system, especially that the market will see a significant rise in prices which would affect the economy of the Iraqi family"
Warned that a Member of the economy and investment Aziz Sharif Mayahi to return to work the system for customs tariff carried by this law for the time being of a negative impact on low-income people.
Mayahi said in a press statement received (citizen) a copy of "The Back to the introduction of customs tariffs for the time being will reflect negatively on low-income families through the weakness of their purchasing power at the high prices of imported goods in general."
"We will strive to prevent the adoption of this law in the House of Representatives in order to avoid damage Selhgaha class poor will not be strong enough to cope with the sudden rise in prices."
He noted, "that the House will bear full responsibility for all the economic implications arising from this law if passed."
For her part, Business and Finance expert, Dr. Sharifi Alia that "the Iraqi market will see a rise in prices in the event the application of customs tariffs"
She added that "the solution will be simple either by monitoring the market so it is not the merchant is a controlled prices and tariffs are Alkmria materials without the other it does not include any consumer goods that affect the income of ordinary citizens"
Moreover, sees Ahmad Makki, "The economy of Iraq is one of the emerging economies in the world, so his several laws intended to attend the work done correctly"

Adding that "Iraqi politicians would not bet on the future adoption of the law thus has a negative impact on their popularity in the street"
The Iraqi government plans to apply the law of customs tariffs for some time, but backed off from its application and more than once because of the increasing public pressure and parliamentary elections by the fear of the increase in prices in the Iraqi market
