Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier Nouri al-Maliki expressed his annoyance of some threats to the Kurdish citizens and assured in a press statement that "The government is able to hold the responsibility to provide the protection for citizens."
According to press statement issued by the media office of the Prime Minister, Maliki pointed to some statements that might carry threats towards Kurd citizens.
"The Premier confirms the responsibility of the government and its capacity to defend the security of the its citizens and not allowing anyone to tresspass their rights which are granted by the Constitution, regardless their nationality, religion, sect and political affiliation and for the most important their right to live wherever they like," the statement concluded. \ End
