White Iraqiya: Iraq's political future depends of Maliki's future

Baghdad (NINA) – The White Iraqiya bloc considers withdrawing confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki a destroying the political process in whole.
In a statement issued on Thursday, May 31, Secretary General of White Iraqiya, Jamal al-Bateekh, said, "Iraq's political future depends on the future of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, withdrawing confidence from his government destroys the political process in whole, this what we do not want to happen, we look for successful political process and active state institutions."
He added, "The Iraqis are watching with interest the struggle among politicians wondering about the national interest."
He went on saying that the reason is that each politician stands on a different ground than of the other; politicians must invent new pattern of political relations.
Bateekh stressed that all political forces must realize their responsibilities and work for serving the homeland not to keep concerned about their own interests. / End.
