He added: "The Ministry of Transport has requested, in May 2 last, the Council of Ministers to approve the issuance of the authorization to sign a draft agreement, as the Council of State has said, on February 21 last, that the draft agreement does not conflict with the provisions of the Constitution and relevant legislation and serve as a basis for negotiations as a prelude to its conclusion and also supported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , on January 10 last, a draft agreement and that it sees no objection to its conclusion. "
Dabbagh said: "The aircraft operating on international routes, invested by the designated airline of either country would be exempted from all customs duties, as well as the supply of fuel, lubricants and spare parts and standard equipment for aircraft and supplies aircraft, including the food and drinks on board those lines. "
He continued: "The agreement will be awarded rights to fly across the two countries without landing or stop for non-commercial purposes, or stop at specific points of the line specified for the purpose of putting down and taking the movement of international air."

The Cabinet decided in its meeting, yesterday , authorize the Minister of Transport the authority to negotiate and sign a draft agreement on air transport between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as corrected and amended by the Council of State based on the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare and document authorization required behalf of the Government Republic of Iraq to the Minister of Transport in accordance with the approved contexts and submit to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in order to obtain the signature of the prime minister.
