Yassin al-Mutlaq: Maliki will determine the extension of U.S. military and whether or not to visit Panetta for the positions of the blocks

A member of the House of Representatives lawmaker of the Iraqi List Yassin al-Mutlaq said "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki that will determine the survival of U.S. forces in the country or its withdrawal after the end of this year."
He said al-Mutlaq told all of Iraq [where] on Monday that "al-Maliki will prepare a report on the readiness of security forces, indicating the possibility of the machines to fill the void successor forces Alammerakh if it withdraws, the light of this report will determine the political blocs position of the U.S. withdrawal," noting that "the masses will depend on the political report of the Maliki statement in its position.

And the visit of U.S. Defence Secretary in Baghdad on Sunday, said al-Mutlaq said "the visit of U.S. Secretary of Defense to Baghdad aimed to examine closely the positions of the political blocs on the issue of U.S. withdrawal," and denied that the visit as a kind of U.S. pressure on the political blocs in order to extend the survival of U.S. forces in the country.
The U.S. defense secretary to Leon Panetta, arrived in Baghdad on the afternoon yesterday in a surprise visit unannounced.
The United States and Iraq concluded, in 2008, the Framework Agreement strategy to support the ministries and agencies of Iraq in the transition from the strategic partnership with the Republic of Iraq to the areas of economic, diplomatic, cultural and security, based on the Strategic Framework Agreement and to reduce the number of reconstruction teams in the provinces, as well as providing important sustainable for the rule of law, including police development program and the completion of the coordination and supervision and the report of the Fund of Iraq relief and reconstruction .
