U.S. Embassy: Iraq is a strategic partner of the United States in the region and Dempsey discuss the situation in Syria

{Baghdad: Euphrates News} confirmed the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that Iraq is a strategic partner of the United States in the region, and that the visit of the President of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey to Iraq comes as part of Washington's efforts to support the continuity of development in Iraq.
The embassy said in a statement received and Euphrates News Agency {} a copy of it on that, "Dempsey's visit is part of efforts by the United States within the strategic framework agreement to support the continuity of the development in Iraq as a strategic partner contributes to the peace and security as a leader in the region.
He added that "Dempsey met during his visit to Iraq Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and other Iraqi officials to discuss regional and security issues, including the situation in Syria."
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. armies of Gen. Martin Dempsey last Tuesday to Baghdad, where he met a number of Iraqi officials and discussed with the Prime Minister the issue of arming the Iraqi army. Ended
