US Deputy Secretary of State arrives in Baghdad

Baghdad (NINA) – American Deputy Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs Maria Otero arrived in Baghdad to hold talks with Iraqi officials and members of civil society organizations on a "large number of subjects".
According to a statement by the U.S. embassy in Baghdad which said that Otero’s office is coordinating the foreign policy of the United States for a variety of global issues, including issues of democracy, human rights, labor, environment, oceans, health, sciences, population, refugees, migration and human trafficking combat.
The statement added that this is the first visit of the Deputy to Iraq, which comes to "underline the permanent commitment of the United States to Iraq and its people."http://www.ninanews.com/english/News_Details.asp?ar95_VQ=FGJLLI
