Source in the "Gazprom oil" confirms the company's interest in Kurdistan, despite news for freezing its projects in the region

Baghdad (news) .. A source in the company "Gazprom oil" Russian, Wednesday, that the company is still interested in oil projects in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, denying that there have been reports in the media about freezing contracts between the company and the provincial government.
The newspaper quoted "International Oil Daily" specialized in oil affairs Abdul Karim and coffee and Iraqi Oil Minister as saying: that Baghdad had received a letter from the Russian company which said it had frozen its projects in Kurdistan to invest in oil fields.
No comment "Gazprom oil" officially on the information for directing the speech in question.
The Russian company has signed on August 1 last with the Kurdistan Regional Government agreements to enter into projects related to oil exploration and investment fields Garmian and Shakal southern region, which increases the size of the oil reserves which 500 million tonnes of oil equivalent
