Baghdad (AIN) –The independent MP, Kadhim al-Sayadi, called the parliament chairmanship to resume the parliament sessions and cancel the one week holiday for the MPs to visit the provinces.
In a press statement received by AIN on Wednesday, Sayadi stated "There are many crucial law drafts that are delayed and was postponed for more than one time where they serve the Iraqi people, but the continuous suspension of the MPs from the parliament sessions resulted in delaying the endorsement of these law drafts."
"The holiday that is specified for the MPs to visit the provinces must be canceled in order to hold a meeting instead of it to endorse those law drafts," he added.
He stressed the necessity of endorsing those law drafts especially the Infrastructure law draft because it serves the Iraqis and was postponed for more than once."
It is worth mentioning that the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi announced that the parliament sessions for the current week will be held, asking the MPs to visit the provinces in the next week before having the holiday of Eid al-Adhha. /End/
