The Committee to protect journalists warned Thursday that the Iraqi Government plans to impose strict rules restricting the broadcast media.
She explained that this is a serious warning to the return of authoritarian rule in the country, condemning laws passed on this subject, which I described to others.
The Committee demanded that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his Government to abandon these plans have an oppressive.
In a statement, said Huda has received a copy, that after reviewing the plan's Committee to protect journalists, found that the rules gave international standards of freedom of expression and which seemed to contradict the Iraqi Constitution which provides for freedom of the press.
She noted that the new rules would impose Government licensing journalists and media, making it a tool for authoritarian governments.
