Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Baha il-Din al-Safi, of the State of Law Coalition attributed the delay in endorsing the Federal Court law draft to the tensions among the political disputes among the political blocs over the Article of veto within this law draft.
"The religious authority always stresses the necessity of endorsing this law draft because it will settle the disputes over the constitution.
Earlier, the member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Mahmoud al-Hasan, confirmed that "The political blocs agreed upon granting the veto right for the Islamic jurisprudents within Federal Court."
He stated in a press conference at the parliament building "The bloc reached agreement over involving four Islamic jurisprudents within Federal Court as they are given the veto right to reject the laws that contradicts Islam according to Article 2 of the Constitution." /End/
