The head of the Haider Ali Fadel said the British Consul Richard Wood told the Basra Investment Commission and officially that a delegation of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) will visit the province Basra in the coming period for the purpose of access to their economic environment, trade and investment.
He explained that the Authority is preparing to hold a joint conference in collaboration with the British Consulate and the delegation of business in addition to the relevant authorities in order to develop the movement of investment and the creation of a partnership Iraqi British contribution to the economy of the province.
He said the British consulate in Basra and promised us that it will strive to contribute to the development of conservation and infrastructure by eliminating obstacles to the entry of British companies invested as well as the transfer of all the necessary skills, technology and expertise to the province of Basra.
He Fadel readiness of the whole to receive the British delegation and give all the necessary facilities for a conference and to achieve his goals.
He stressed that the map of Basra, the investment needed to enter the international companies to develop and activate the reality of Basra, the economy through investment opportunities available.
He noted that the Authority will strive, in cooperation with the British Consulate to provide all the necessary facilities and speed up the procedures for granting visas to British investors in preparation for their access to investment opportunities.
In another context, Prime Investment Basra provincial council issued a new controls will enhance the projects the agricultural sector investment in Basra.
and Fadel said these controls stressed the need for investor study describes the types of plants that will be cultivated and prepared and the amount of water used for irrigation and the method used, as well as to identify suitable land for the project in terms of size and location and the need for the city for this project.
