Trade Minister Khairallah Hassan Babiker, Friday, that his Ministry would be 850,000 tonnes of food to citizens.
Babiker said in a statement issued today, and received "alsumaria news", "Ministry of Commerce contracted to import 150,000 tons of edible oil, and 400,000 tons of rice and 300,000 tons of sugar.
He said earlier that "the Ministry will equip citizens with this material during the period ahead."
The Commerce Ministry did not specify whether the material will be distributed to citizens through the ration card, or by putting them on the local market. "

And in 2010, the card vocabulary to five core subjects is a flour, rice, sugar, oil, and milk for children, and the rest of the vocabulary of ration cards which can be purchased from the local market as beans, tea, washing powder and adult milk will be canceled.
The majority of Iraqis depend on the ration supply them in their daily lives since the start of the international embargo on Iraq in 1991 after the Kuwait war, and include vocabulary per capita ration of rice, flour, vegetable oil, sugar, tea, washing powder, SOAP, powdered milk (for adults), and powdered milk (for young people), and legumes such as lentils and beans and chickpeas, and appreciates the value of such materials per capita in the domestic market by almost 10 dollars from excluding children, while milk is obtained by Ration card with $ 500 dinars only.
