Barzani: Baghdad did not commit by its commitments to Talabani

Shafaq News / President of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) , Najervan Barzani accused Thursday, Baghdad of violating the constitution and not committing to their commitment to President , Jalal Talabani by forming Dijla Operations Command.
Barzani said in a speech during his participation in the 16th session of the Klawez cultural Festival which started on Thursday in Sulaymaniyah city and was attended by "Shafaq News", that "Unfortunately, the Iraqi government did not comply with those commitments that were given to Jalal Talabani about forming Dijla Operations Command but it also violated the Iraqi Constitution. "
Barzani stressed the need to apply the Iraqi constitution and demanded everyone to abide by it.
It is noteworthy that Dijla operation leadership, which is formed by Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki as commander in chief of the armed forces sparked controversy among the blocs and political parties some rejecting while others welcomed it, which added new tension to the crisis and the relations among them, especially between the Kurdish leadership and Kirkuk Provincial Council on one hand and its supporting parties in Baghdad, on the other hand.
