quoted the minister as Babiker said during a news conference «said the agreement included the areas of trade and industry and minerals and exchange of experiences, information and support the private sector and the establishment of specialized fairs and fields of tourism, health, transport, education, energy, housing and reconstruction, agriculture, irrigation, telecommunications, postal and information technology, the environment and the organization of joint committees».
showed that the Minister of Commerce Iraqi called South Africa to participate actively and seriousness in various economic fields and contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure sectors and enter the Iraqi market, a sign that the agreement, if entered into force will have a payoff is good for both parties in the development and expansion of work in economic and investment fields, being the first agreement of kind held between the two sides.
For his part, the Minister stressed the South African said subsequent steps for the implementation of this agreement will be three steps, including to arrange a visit of officials from South Africa to Iraq to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade relations, and the second relating to facilitate communication with the concerned sectors in Iraq to accomplish the work, and work to overcome some of the obstacles that reduce obtain Iraqi businessmen visas for South Africa and facilitate a number of measures in this aspect.
This took place on the sidelines of the signing of many meetings between the Iraqi delegation and businessmen and owners of companies from South Africa emerged from the signing of three memorandums of understanding between the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and its counterpart for South Africa and the Chamber of Commerce Lighthouse and the Cape Town Chamber of Commerce to promote commercial and industrial cooperation between the two sides.
