Sihail, Representative of International Fund in Iraq discuss issue of CBI

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The first Deputy Speaker, and the head of the investigatory committee over the issue of the Central Bank of Iraq, Qusay al-Sihail, discussed with the Representative of the International Fund in Iraq, Yihya Khairi Said, the issue of the CBI.
A statement by Sihail’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday cited “Sihail, while receiving Said, at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the procedures followed in the issue of the CBI, emphasizing the technical support of the International Fund to the CBI.”
“The two sides have also discussed the updates in this issue where Sihail assured the International Fund respects the sovereignty of Iraq and the way of dealing with its funds,” the statement added.
“Sihail stressed the importance of eliminating the corruption and not allowing the merchants to exploit the citizens by trading the public fund,” the statement concluded.
