2013 federal budget waits for Iraqi Government's approval for additional sums

Baghdad (AIN) -MP Najiba Najeeb of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, revealed that the Iraqi parliament's chairmanship and the committee turned the 2013 federal budget draft back to the Government since 16th last December to add additional funds on in, yet the government did not resend it so far.
She stated to All Iraq News Agency "The budget law draft now is in hands of the government and it has to add the funds approved by the Parliament for each of the budgets of the Authority, Parliament, and the Higher Commission for Human Rights."
"The financial committee completed the first and second readings of the federal budget and what is left is only the final draft which takes one week to complete it," Najeeb added.
It is worth mentioning that the Council of Ministers has approved the 2013 federal budget which reached IQD (138) trillion, on 23th, October, 2012.
