Zebari: Iraq has a chance to play important Arab, international role

Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari said, “Iraq has the chance to play an important role on the Arab and international levels through adopting a unified policy and oration by all of its leaders.”
In a press conference held on Wednesday, July 27, Zebari added, “The Third Conference of Iraq’s Ambassadors achieved positive results in the Ministry’s future plans for Iraq’s relations with the international community and the challenges facing its foreign policy.”
He pointed out, “The Security Agreement between Iraq and the United States remains valid until it expires. And The Strategic Frame Agreement aims to activate the relations on political, cultural, scientific, economic and technical levels.”
As for Kuwait’s Mubarak Port, Zebari said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is dealing with the issue through official channels and contacts with Kuwait.”
Zebari stressed that Iraq is committed to the clauses of Article VII with this regards in the interests of both countries.
