The Iranian Maher News Agency quoted the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ramin Mahma Nibrist, as saying "All the region's countries have to stand with the Iraqi government and people and avoid the interventions in Iraq's current political crisis that would deepen the sectarian and ethnic disputes," warning the regional countries from the "ramifications of the Iraqi crisis which will affect the regional countries, especially those states which practice intervention in the planned sectarian project in Iraq."
He affirmed that "The Iraqi political sides enjoy political maturity that qualify them to address the crisis through dialogue and democratic methods."
In an answer to a question raised over the consequences of the crisis in Iraq, the Iranian FM spokesperson said "There are some dubious movements in the region aim at creating sectarian and communal strife among the region's sects as well as creating tensions among the region's countries till reaching a state of unrest and instability." /End/
