Maliki hopes Iraq Political blocs will take final decision regarding US troops fate

Iraq Premier Nouri Al Maliki said on Tuesday he hopes that Iraq political blocs leaders could reach during the meeting to be held today a final decision about whether Iraq needs to keep US troops or not and called to carry on cooperating and coordinating between the two parties. Meanwhile the US chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that his country’s government is ready to support Iraq in all fields.
Nouri Al Maliki said in a statement a copy of which was delivered to Alsumarinews that on the sidelines of his meeting with Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that the final decision in the report about to which extent Iraq needs US troops stay is to be taken by political blocs and parliament and uttered hope that the leaders of the political blocs will reach a final decision in this regard today.
Maliki said it is necessary for the two parties to carry on cooperating and coordinating no matter what the decision will be and stressed that cooperation shall continue on the level of air arms supply and providing Iraq with this kind of needed defense materials.
On the other hand, Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that his country’s government is ready to support Iraq in whatever it needs and to cooperate with the Iraqi government to face all challenges, hailing the progress made by Iraqi Security forces on different levels.
