BREAKING NEWS IHEC announces that 72% of security agencies' personnel took part in special voting

Baghdad (NINA) – The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced the participation of 72% of security agencies personnel took part in the special voting that took place in the provinces that are not part of a region.
In a press conference held on Saturday, Apr. 13, Head of the IHEC said that 72% of the security agencies and military personnel whose names listed in the voters took part in the voting.
He added that the number of the military and security agencies who have voted on Saturday was 650,000 persons. The percentages of voters according to provinces is: 60% Risafa Baghdad, 62% Karkh Baghdad, 2.35% Niniveh, 60.7% Kirkuk, 77% Diyala, 52.4% 5 Anbar, 80% Babil, 80% Karbala, 75.7 Wasit, 69% Salaheddin, 74% Najaf, 85% Qadisiya, 83% Muthana, 82% Thi-Qar, 83% Maysan and 75% Basra.
He pointed out that it was for the first time since 2003 election in Iraq held without supervision of international organization, they were present just to provide consultations.
