Baghdad (AIN) –The Independent High Electoral Commission announced receiving the decision of extending the term of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani.
The Deputy Head of the Board of the Commissioners, Qatea al-Zuabai, stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "We have received the official statement over extending Barzani's term for two more years," noting that "Specifying the date of the presidential elections of KR is within the authorities of the parliament of KR."
It is noteworthy that Barzani announced on Tuesday his ratification for this decision. /End/
