U.S. embassy condemns the violence in Hawija and calls to account the perpetrators of illegal acts

Baghdad (news) .. United States condemned the violence which resulted in the killing and wounding of civilians and members of the security forces in Hawija, calling for a transparent investigation and to hold the perpetrators of illegal acts.
A statement from the U.S. embassy, received the Agency (news) copy of it: that the United States strongly condemns the events that led to the killing and wounding of civilians and members of security forces in Hawija, noting: it regrets that these events occurred prior to grant the tireless efforts enough time to reach a peaceful resolution of this issue.
The statement called for the immediate parties to refrain from exercising any violent acts or provocative, calling for: a transparent investigation in this matter and the broadest possible participation and accountability of perpetrators of unlawful acts and in accordance with Iraqi law, whether they were from the government or the security forces or demonstrators.
