UN calls with today's World Press Freedom Day to renew the commitment to freedom of the press in Iraq


Called on the United Nations, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the International Day for the freedom of the press, to renew the commitment to press freedom in Iraq, and urged a cessation of violence and intimidation against the media and journalists.
said the Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Iraq, Martin Koppelraleom Friday that freedom of expression is a fundamental human rights, adding that Iraq needs a free press to ensure the exercise of the right to manifest one's voice and know the truth, while stressing Kubler the need for the press and Oosaúl media ethics.
