America called to activate Strategic Framework Agreement, Mutlaq

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Deputy Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq called USA to activate the Strategic Framework agreement and cooperate in training Iraqi security and scientific personnel.
In a statement, Mutlaq received US Commander of the Middle Area General Lloyd Austin, who is visiting Iraq currently, amid a tour in the region.
Mutlaq pointed out that "USA has a moral obligation towards the current situation happening in the country", stressing that "the region witnesses complicated issues that are dangerously developing".
General Austin expressed US concern on the developments taking place in Syria and their reflection on Iraq and the region as a whole.
