Syria announces cancelling visa fees for Iraqi tourists

Shafaq News / Syrian Foreign Minister announced on Sunday, cancelling visa fees on Iraqis who intend to visit Syria for tourism, while hinted to the existence of a financial discount and other facilities.
Walid al-Moallem said conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari attended by “Shafaq News” reads that “I submitted Syria's decision to Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki and Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari of cancelling visa fees on Iraqi tourist groups that intend to head to Syria “.
“There will be a discount for Iraqi tourists and we welcome them through the approved offices as they will find all the facilities in it."
The Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid al-Muallem arrived this morning to the capital Baghdad on a surprise visit that has not been announced.
Moallem’s visit comes a day after intensive contacts held by U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden with Iraqi political leaders.
