Economic parliamentary working on new amendments to the Tariff Act

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - the parliamentary economic committee announced on Monday, it will be new amendments to the Tariff Act in order to be more convenient to apply.
Committee member said Salman al-Moussawi's (IMN) "The committee agreed to make some new amendments to the Customs Tariff Act for the purpose of ease of application within the Iraqi economy," noting that "these amendments would increase the fiscal revenue and economic development in the country."
Al-Moussawi said that "the Commission demanded that the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to support the private sector, while the application of the law to provide local produce compete with imported products."
The mention of the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs purity of net debt announced earlier directed the government to implement tariff law gradually and according to a specific timetable.
