Maysan Oil Company announced the arrival of 4 new drilling towers to Halfayah field to be introduced to increase the number of new wells in the field with the launch of the second phase of development of the field.
The general director of the company to maintain Qubool Bahadli in a press statement today that "4 new drilling towers and reached for the Halfaya field of the Maysan Oil Company and these towers back to Chinese Petrojayna company which manages the development of the Halfaya field.
He added that "these new towers monument will contribute to the high frequency of drilling operations and will make it possible to increase the number of new wells."
And preparing company Petrojayna which won the contract to develop the Halfaya field in the second licensing round end of 2009, to implement the second phase of development after the first phase culminated add more than 100 thousand barrels of production rates from the Halfaya field.
It is estimated oil reserves for the Halfaya field to yield Maysan Oil Company of around 16 billion barrels, in addition to large amounts of gas, and was the first wells drilled in it in 1976.
