Baghdad Mayorship renews Iraqi flags to celebrate relieving Iraq from UN Charter's 7th Chapter

Baghdad (AIN) –Baghdad Mayorship instructed all its directorates to replace the Iraqi flags with new flags made of high quality fabrics as a part of the celebrations launched in Baghdad on the occasion of relieving Iraq from the UN Charter's Seventh Chapter.
Baghdad Mayorship reported in statement received by AIN on Friday ''Baghdad Mayorship instructed all its fourteen municipal directorates to replace the old Iraqi flags with new flags made of high quality fabrics, that resist high temperatures and weather conditions, as a part of the celebrations of the Iraqi people due to relieving Iraq from the UN Charter's Seventh Chapter.''
''The procedure will include all the Iraqi flags in the main streets, bridges and the long poles throughout Baghdad,'' the statement added.
The celebrations started all over Baghdad on the occasion of relieving Iraq from the UN Charter's Seventh Chapter and the celebrations included launching fireworks and raising the Iraqi flags in addition to organizing motorcades that spread flowers and sweets on citizens in Baghdad,'' the statement added.
The UN Security Council voted by majority on relieving Iraq from the UN Charter's 7th Chapter on Thursday evening.
