Baldawi congratulates Iraqis on relieving Iraq from UN 7th Chapter

Baghdad (AIN) -MP, Mufeed al-Baldawi, of the State of Law Coalition congratulated the Iraqis and the Government of the historical achievement represented by relieving Iraq from the seventh Chapter and restoring its full sovereignty.
On last Thursday evening, the UN Security Council endorsed the resolution of relieving Iraq from the limits imposed on it according to the UN 7th Chapter.
He stated to AIN “Iraq witnesses a national celebration for this occasion that will free it from the financial and economic limits imposed according to this Chapter.”
“Iraq will witness a turning point in the progress regarding the infrastructure projects that were hindered by limits imposed on Iraq under this Chapter,” he continued.
“The international community has to have a responsible stance against the terrorist groups and their supporting countries that aim at destabilizing the security situation in Iraq,” he mentioned.
He called “All the political blocs to unite and to have a national stance suitable with occasion,” he concluded.
Baghdad witnessed wide celebrations with a huge popular participation on the occasion of relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7th Chapter on last Thursday.
