Baghdad (AIN) –The rapporteur of the Parliamentary Tribes Committee, Aboud al-Essawi, called to make the anniversary of the 20th Revolution as "A national day."
In a press statement received by AIN, he said "There was not a real national stance to evaluate the 20th Revolution by all the governments that had to make it as a national day," noting that "All the peoples of the world are honored by their revolutions and histories for achieving freedom."
"The 93rd anniversary of the 20th Revolution that set the basis of the Iraqi government and resulted in writing the constitution in Iraq in 1925 and formed the parliament, needs to immortalize its martyrs and erecting the memorial in Najaf province that was damaged to construct a bridge instead," he added.
"This is ignorance to the history," he concluded.
