Baghdad (newsletter).Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, with the Director General of IAEA and the Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO ', ' ways of enhancing joint cooperation and removing Iraq from Chapter VII.
According to a statement by the Foreign Affairs received (News Agency), a copy of which on Tuesday: that the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano, today received the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Hoshyar Zebari, and his entourage, which coincides with the third anniversary of Iraq's accession to the nuclear non-proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The statement added: the Minister welcomed Amano well-wisher exit Iraq from Chapter VII and restore it to its place, and during the meeting emphasized the role of the Agency in support of the application of modern technologies for the utilization of nuclear energy in the areas of reconstruction of infrastructure in Iraq and the Agency's commitment to help train Iraqi praised Mr. Amano to Iraq of the provisions of the Convention on the application of the additional protocol.
It added: the Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) me, unec at the Organization's headquarters in Vienna, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and his entourage gave his congratulations on the occasion of Iraq's exit from the provisions of Chapter VII.
The statement said: the Minister here on the occasion of the unec duties deriving therefrom to his new position and the two sides discussed the relationship between Iraq and the Organization, and emphasized the need for UNIDO to expand its activities in Iraq to increase investment and boost industrial activity in all sectors, and the need to open an OSCE Office in Baghdad which will contribute to accelerate the cooperation between the two parties.
Zibari said Iraq is keen on signing a basic cooperation agreement with the organization that represents the legal ground for the expansion of the Organization through more technical conventions.
This meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for planning Affairs political aura Shaker and Chief Ambassador Ahmad Bamarni organizations and the Permanent Representative of Iraq in international organizations, Ambassador Surood Najeeb.
