Dayini demands UN, international community interfere to end Iraq-Kuwait crisis

Baquba (NINA) – Law maker from Iraqiya Slate, Nahida al-Dayini, demanded the UN and international community to interfere toward finding an acceptable solution to the Iraq-Kuwait crisis over Kuwait’s Mubarak Port.
In a statement to NINA on Thursday, Aug. 11, Dayini said, “It is for the Iraqi government and political blocs not to resort to political and media escalation toward Kuwait that will increase political complications between the two.”
She added that constructing Kuwait’s Mubara Port will obstruct navigation in Iraq’s territorial waters and will cost Iraq in big economic loss; she ruled out any Iraqi military action because of its inability to protect its own borders.
Dayini demanded referring Iraqi officials to be accountable for the delay in executing Faw Port that cause big losses to Iraq. / End
