BAGHDAD / follow the obelisk: a survey showed on Monday that the production of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in September fell to its lowest level in nearly two years because of the establishment of the main Iraqi export port, although the standard output Saudi prevented further decline.

The survey conducted by Reuters and navigation based on data and sources of OPEC and oil companies and consulting firms that supply the Organization amounted to 30.07 million barrels per day on average, down from 30.32 million bpd in August.

Libyan production at less than half its level in early 2013 as Nigeria's output came far less than capacity, which highlights the supplies from countries affected by internal conflict.

In September, covered the effects of taking place in the Iraqi port of Basra on slight increases in supplies from Nigeria and Libya as well as Saudi production, which amounted to about ten million barrels per day for the second month in a row.

OPEC production in September is the least since October 2011, when the supply amounted to 29.81 million barrels a day, according to a survey conducted by Reuters, compared with the production target of 30 million barrels per day.

It was the biggest drop in supplies in Iraq, where it fell to 2.7 million barrels per day from 3.1 million barrels per day in August because of falling export capacity due to construction work at the port as well as a leak in the pipeline caused the cut, too.

Iraqi sources said sector is that two of the anchors in the oil port of Basra were closed for part of September, which reduces the export capacity of the country.

And Libya's output reached 560 thousand barrels per day on average in 2013 and rose to 650 thousand barrels per day by the end of the month but it is still much lower than the rate of production at the beginning of the year of 1.4 million barrels per day.
