Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Hussain al-Shahristani said the Iraqi government is currently working on promoting free-market policy through the creation of new economic legislation suited to the global economic openness and that would encourage foreign investment, both direct and indirect.
A statement by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, received today and all of Iraq [where] that Shahristani said in a speech at the Conference of the Iraqi Investment Korea, which was held in the South Korean capital Seoul that the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and South Korea reached $ 12 billion a year, calling for enhance cooperation at various levels between the two countries, especially Korean companies invest in the oil fields of Iraq, electricity, transportation, housing, and communications ports.
And visit South Korea, a large delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussain al-Shahristani, and its membership includes a number of ministries and agents, general managers and a number of Iraqi businessmen
