Search House Speaker Osama Najafi in a telephone conversation with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, the situation in Iraq and the region.
A statement by the Office of the President of the House of Representatives that “the two sides discussed during the phone call files political and security situation in the region, especially the situation in Syria, and agreed on the need to stop the escalating violence in Iraq through the cooperation of all parties to the political process.”
The statement added that “Najafi and Biden also stressed on the necessity of holding elections on schedule.”
