Al-Hakim meets with Russian Ambassador in Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim discussed with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Russia in Iraq, Ilya Murgunov, the bilateral relations.
Hakim, during the meeting, confirmed that "The relations between the two countries and the two peoples of Iraq and the Russian is historical relations, stressing the need for the participation of Russian companies in building the new Iraq.
According to a statement of the Supreme Council: "The two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, as well as discuss ways to expand and improve economic relations between the two countries." / End
