Iraqis abroad to participate in upcoming parliamentary elections, confirms Human Rights

(Forat)- The Ministry of Human Rights,announced Sunday , the Independent Higher Commission for Elections is coordinating with Ministry of Foreign Affairs ,over the necessary measures regarding Iraqis abroad participating in the coming elections.
A statement by the Information Office of the Ministry of Human Rights received by Alforat News Agency Sunday cited " Some of media have published news over election law ignoring the voting right for Iraqis abroad ".
" But the truth is the article ( V ) of (40) item of Iraqi law has allowed for Iraqis abroad to vote for their provinces, in accordance with procedures set by the Commission ", the statement explained.
" The IHEC informed us that they are coordinating "now" with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, over the necessary measures regarding the elections abroad ", the statement concluded.
It is worth mentioned that some of media have published news over not including Iraqis abroad within 2014's election Law./End/
