Iraqi parliament: the second reading of the Law Council senior policy after the Eid holiday

Baghdad, August 14 / August (Rn) - The decision of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Sunday, that his council Sjeri second reading of the bill Council senior policy after the end of the Eid holiday directly, asserting that the law is still in the Legal Committee for its provisions.

The Council is a strategic policy terms of Arbil, the nine agreements the focus of a months-long dispute between Iraq and a coalition of state law, led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's endorsement on the back of the mechanism and powers.

Khalidi explained that "the Commission is about to finish reading the law as the first" likely that "there is an amendment to some of the paragraphs of the law before it is sent to the House of Representatives to read the second reading before voting on it."

It also includes terms of reference for the Council to provide proposals for legislation important laws in accordance with the constitutional contexts, and discuss the conventions and treaties related to strategic security and defense and the country's sovereignty and opinion, and make proposals to amend the laws in force and in particular of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council.

Maliki's coalition are opposed to vote on the law of the National Council of the Supreme policies for fear of interfering in the work of the executive power and later insisted that the Council's functions are advisory only.
