Turkey confirms that Iraq's consent is the basis of Kurdistan's oil exports
BAGHDAD / translation Baghdadi News / .. Said Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz, on Sunday that Ankara learning Baghdad with all the information relating to the oil exports from the Kurdish region to Turkey, rejecting a claim which said that oil from the region has been exported without taking the central government - according to Mazkrth newspaper Hurriyet Daily News Turkish.
Iraq had threatened to boycott Turkish companies and cancel their contracts after they announced last month by the Kurdistan Regional Government to send the first shipment of crude oil directly to Turkey without passing Abrkhtoot pipe, which oversees Baghdad, where it flowed for sale in anticipation of further shipments there.
He said Turkish Energy Minister "even if over one barrel of oil to the port of Ceyhan has been informed of this Baghdad was given a daily summary of the receipt to the central government in Baghdad and how much is the amount of oil that have been sold."
He added, that "oil is the oil of Iraq and Turkey is not and therefore will be informed of Baghdad as they relate to the issue of income of Iraq, but until now did not pass any oil to the port of Ceyhan, and it does not mean that it will not be moved in the future."
He continued, "We will exchange all information with Baghdad," referring to the presence of 425 000 barrels of Iraqi oil in the port of Ceyhan. "
