UN Security Council denounces series of explosions in Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:***** The UN Security Council severely denounced the series of explosions that hit Iraq at the beginning of this week, which led to tens of casualties. *****
***In a statement issued, the council's members stressed the need to bring the criminals and collaborators to justice, calling all countries to abide by their duties towards international law and related Security Council's resolutions. *****
The members confirmed "their support to the Iraqi people and government to fight all threats against international peace and security."
Last Monday, Iraq suffered a series of explosions, the first in two months, in a number of provinces, like Wasit, Kerbela, Salahuddin, Najaf and Kirkuk which led to 51 killings and 165 casualties, according to security sources.
