Kurdistan Region starts crude oil exports via Turkish Ceyhan port

Kurdistan Region started exporting crude oil via the Turkish port of Ceyhan, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said in a press statement.
The first 1 million barrel cargo of piped oil was loading in Ceyhan, where around 2.5 million barrels of Iraqi Kurdish crude has been stored, Yildiz told Reuters. An industry source said the tanker wsa expected to depart late on Thursday.
Kurdistan Regional Government sent 2.5 million barrels of oil into storage tanks at Ceyhan through a new KRG-built pipeline in which crude flow started last December.
