BAGHDAD / NINA / Head of the National Coalition , Iyad Allawi described on Wednesday the House of Representatives as " weak " because it could not do its legislative role.
Allawi said in a press statement that the previous parliament was unable to do its legislative or monitoring role because of its weakness, and also because of the weakness of its relationship with the executive and the judiciary authorities, which led the executive authority to stand against the parliament, and it could not during the past period of its formation to issue any important decision.
He pointed out that "the upper hand in any democratic country is the legislative authority, and that this Parliament could not do its role even some of the decisions were taken by voting, rejected by the Federal Court.
