Baghdad (NINA) – *****Secretary General of Sons of Iraq Alliance, Sheikh Abbass al-Mahamadawi said that the State of Law Cavalry bloc has nothing to do with the bombing of Kuwait’s Mubarak port on Thursday, accusing the United States of being behind it.*****
Mahamadawi told NINA on Friday, Aug. 26, “The State of Law Cavalry bloc has nothing to do with the bombing of the Kuwaiti port, such an action is done by the United States.”
He added that, “The State of Law Cavalry bloc is not related to State of Law Alliance, it is an independent organization.”
On Thursday evening, a security source said that three rockets have been fired on Thursday afternoon from Iraq’s Safwan border area toward Kuwait’s Mubarak port.
The source, who refused to be identified, said, “At about 1:00 pm Thursday, unknown persons fired the rockets, but no damages inflicted on the port.”
Few days ago, the State of Law Cavalry said that it gives Kuwait ten days ultimatum to stop hurting the Iraqi people, threatening to mass Iraqis along the borders if the Kuwaiti side does not respond.
*****Mohamadawi added that State of Law Cavalry is an independent political organization and what brings it together with the State of Law Alliance, headed byPM Nuri al-Maliki, is that they were allied together during last election. It does not carry arms at present, but it will resort to arms if the Iraqis’ demands are not met; he did not specify what the demands are.***** / End.
