Iraq’s parliament speaker: Three dispute points among the various blocs solved and the budget will be approved

Erbil: January is almost over and the Iraqi federal government hasn’t sent the Kurdistan region’s budget share and salaries yet, and an Iraqi MP puts the blame on Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP and Gorran (Change) parties. Dr. Bakhtiar Shawais, MP from Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK bloc,said that the problem is related to KDP and Gorran not PUK as they are controlling Oil and Finance ministries of KRG. Last year the former Iraqi PM, Al-Maliki, decided to stop paying Kurdistan region staff and stop sending the budget allowances which then KDP and Goran started accusing PUK for it. At the end of last year, Baghdad and Erbil signed an oil agreement to solve the disputes between both sides. Iraqi oil parliamentary committee postpone its visit to Kurdistan
Baghdad: parliamentary committee on oil and energy postponed its visit to the Kurdistan region until the end of the vote on the draft budget for 2015. Azhgayi told Czarnecki that the Kurdistan Region currently hosts almost 1.8 million refuges and internally displaced people, and asked the EP to donate further humanitarian aid.
