Ban Ki-moon appointed former envoy in Afghanistan to succeed Mladenov in Iraq [Expanded]

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jean-Slovak Ciobs as his special representative to Iraq and the Presidency of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq [UNAMI] successor to an outgoing Bulgarian Nikolay Mladenov.
Said Stefan Dauajjarak Spokesman for the Secretary General of the United Nations, told a news briefing that "Ciobs succeed Bulgarian Nikolay Mladenov."
He Ban Ki-moon on the lips of his spokesman Stephane Dauajjarak "deep gratitude to Mladenov of devotion and dedication to work and his wise leadership of the mission [UNAMI] at a time when Iraq is going through a political and security developments in the task."
Among the most prominent positions who filled Ciobs Slovak presidency of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan from 2012 to 2014 in addition to his work as foreign minister in the government of his country.
The Nikolay Mladenov, announced during his speech at the UN Security Council session in 17 of the month of February for the termination of his service as the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, has decided on the fifth of February, the appointment of the Bulgarian Nikolay Mladenov, special coordinator for the peace process in the Middle East.
A statement by the Office of Ban Ki-moon, the journalist, said, "Mladenov will succeed Dutchman Robert Serry, and will serve as the envoy of the Secretary General of the Quartet Committee on the Middle East, which includes the United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations."
At the time the statement did not refer to that Mladenov will continue his duties as a special envoy in Iraq, Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, or his successor.
The Mladenov, who served as Foreign Minister of Bulgaria visited Iraq several times within the delegation of the European Union, was appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as his Special Representative in Iraq on August 2, 2013, replacing his predecessor, Martin Kobler.
Mladenov and carry a master's degree in literature about the war studies from King's College London in the United Kingdom, and a master's degree and bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia Bbulgaraa.anthy
