House Speaker Meets US Ambassador To Baghdad

House Speaker, Salim al-Jubouri confirmed the importance of joint coordination between the Iraqi forces and the international coalition aircraft to resolve the battle in Anbar province.
His office said in a press statement today, “al-Jubouri received the US ambassador to Iraq, Stuart Jones, and discussed with him, developments in the political and security situation, and the war against terrorism and the developments of the ongoing fighting in Anbar against Daash the terrorist, and the role of the international coalition aircraft in backing the Iraqi forces.
Jubouri, during the meeting, praised “the role of the United States in the leadership of the international coalition to support Iraq, stressing the importance of higher and joint coordination between Iraqi forces and international coalition aircraft and the intensification of the flights to ensure cutting supplies to the terrorist organization and targeting its positions in a way that enhances the speed of resolving the battle in Anbar.”
For his part, the US ambassador underlined his country continued support and assist to Iraq in its war against Daash, and the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the leaders of the two countries to achieve common interests. / End
