Iraq : We have fulfilled our obligations to the International Atomic Energy Agency

Shafaq News / The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs , Ibrahim al-Jaafari confirmed on Wednesday that his country has fulfilled its obligations
with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Jaafari said during a meeting with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano on the sidelines of meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York that Iraq has fulfilled all obligations relevant to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Jaafari pointed to the need to continue to work, and to do everything that would support the vital role of the IAEA in limiting the spread of nuclear weapons, and to benefit from nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
For his part, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano praised cooperation shown by Iraq for the success of the Agency's work, referring to the pursuit of the agency to establish training workshops for Iraqi specialists in this regard out of Iraq in order to promote cooperation between Iraq and the International Atomic Energy Agency, calling Iraq to attend the summit to be held by the Agency in Vienna at the ministerial level in 2016
